Behavior is Communication! Demystifying Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

A functional behavioral assessment (FBA) guides you through the process of gathering information to describe what drives a child’s behavior(s). It is used to develop a behavior intervention plan (BIP) that outlines how the behavior will be addressed and how more acceptable behavior(s) will be taught.

In this presentation, you will earn when an FBA and BIP are necessary, how information is gathered and used to create an effective plan, and what should be included in an effective BIP.
