Training for Educators
To build the guiding relationship and foster dynamic thinkingRDI™ Educator Training can help!
Relationship Development Intervention (RDI™) is designed to address the well-being of neurodivergent people. Based on the understanding that everyone has potential and vulnerabilities, the foundation of RDI™ is the belief that the diagnosis of a developmental disability does not change a person’s desire for a satisfying job, friendships, and autonomy.
Trained consultants work with parents and teachers to help them learn how to provide, form, and manage the guiding relationship that is often disrupted in neurodivergent children. The guiding relationship fosters the development of dynamic intelligence and the mental resources needed to thrive, even flourish, in the 21st century.
While RDI™ (Relationship Development Intervention) is often seen as a family-focused program, the basic program principles can be used to establish learning foundations in a classroom setting.
We offer intensive staff training including onsite and virtual coaching, consultation, and observations that will prepare staff to better meet the needs neurodiverse children.
The curriculum includes the following modules:
- The impact of the missing developmental foundations of Autism
- Developing dynamic intelligence and independent thinking
- Mindful communication and active roles
- Your behavior & your student’s behavior
- How RDI™ supports Danielson’s Framework for Teaching
- Implenting RDI™ in the classroom
